Why, Cynthia, why? First of all, this film has NOTHING to do with the "Yes, Madam!" or "In The Line Of Duty" series. Cute and perky Cynthia Khan plays super cop Lydia Lee, the leader of the police force's A-Team. She's working on a murder case with her security guard boyfriend, and things get very silly very quickly. Inexcusably awful stuff that's an embarrassment to everyone involved. Who could have possibly thought this was a good idea? On the plus side, it has some fairly entertaining undercranked fighting (like in "Super Lady Cop"), but the majority of the film is painfully stupid slapstick and sight gags. (e.g. one of the kids in the film has super powers which allow him to magically remove people's underwear). The music score was stolen from all sorts of peculiar places, including "The Pink Panther" and "Oh My Goddess!" Ms. Khan looks awesome, fights competently, and has really long, beautiful hair. Of course, she is the ONLY reason to watch this cinematic disaster.

Madam White Snake is a wuxia TV drama series jointly produced by MediaCorp and Taiwanese producer Yang Peipei's Workshop. It was aired in 2001. Starring a pan-Asian cast including celebrity couple Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, as well as Taiwanese actors Zhang Yuyan and Vincent Jiao En Jun, this swordfighting serial deftly explored in comic and tragic ways the politics of revenge through a well-executed and performed script. The serial was filmed in Hengdian City, Zhejiang Province of China, which formed a beautiful backdrop for this serial. The television serial was based on a legendary folk tale, involving a snake spirit and her male human lover, but was adapted in this version to include the presence of a black snake who is the snake spirit's mentor and the White Snake Spirit being trapped under the pagoda for 20 years, when in the original tale she was trapped under the tower for centuries. As for the green snake, the white snake imprisons her for a short time before releasing her, unlike the original where she imprisoned her for three centuries. Xu Xian is also initially a good-for-nothing who, under the white snake's guidance, becomes an official.
